Being born and raised in the Blue Mountains means we know the area like the back of our hands, so we know all the best spots that will make for an amazing wedding video shoot. Looking for sweeping views of the valleys? We know just the place. A clifftop with the softest, sweetest sunset light? Got it covered. A hidden gem just for you two? Found one last week!

CloudHerd Film Co has shot in many wedding venues in the Blue Mountains. They’re all special for their own reasons, but a few that we particularly love include Allview Escape and Logan Brae Orchards, both in Blackheath, and nearby Dryridge Estate in Megalong Valley – a top spot for wino’s!

For something traditional, you can’t go past the heritage-listed Hydro Majestic in Medlow Bath or Lilianfels in Katoomba. For spectacular gardens, The Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens in Mt Tomah is stunning, while Spicers Sangoma Retreat in Bowen Mountain is surrounded by the National Park and offers total privacy. The town of Leura offers a handful of venues, but we particularly like Peppers Fairmont Resort for large weddings, Waldorf Resort for more intimate affairs and Flemish Flavours for the gorgeous views. A a bit further west from Sydney are two perfect spots – Collits Inn in Hartley Vale and Seclusions in Rydal, which both have onsite accommodation. While there are almost no bad angles when shooting in the Blue Mountains, we always find little ways to improve our footage to guarantee you the best possible final cut. And don’t worry, we are experts at handling the Blue Mountains weather!
